Fiat Bartoletti 306/2 Shelby Cobra Renntransporter
- movable loading ramps in wood look
- Length of the model: about 62 cm, with unfolded loading ramp 82 cm
The model of this race transporter in blue typical for the American racing Shelby based on a bus chassis of the Italian car maker Fiat, the type Fiat 642 RN2 of 1956. His six-cylinder inline diesel engine type 364A makes 70 kW / 95 hp. The coachbuilder Bartoletti, based in Forli, Italy, delivered the new vehicle to the Maserati factory team in 1956. There it was used until 1958 in Formula 1. Carroll Shelby took over the Bartoletti Fiat in 1962 to transport his Cobra Daytona Coupes to the races in Europe and built another rear axle due to the increased load capacity requirements.
The high-quality model is produced in Diecast. It has moving loading ramps to authentically load the vehicles. An eye-catcher is the wood on the ramps. The length of the model car amounts to approximately 60 cm; with folded-out loading ramp even to 82 cm.
The restored original was auctioned at the Goodwood Revival 2018 for around 450,000 euros.
